We have lots of fun in Giraffes class in Year One! Our topics are lively and exciting and inspire the children to create wonderful pieces of work with outstanding learning. We learn all about Food Glorious food and Toys, Explorers and Pirates, and our summer term topic is Looking after ourselves and our world.
We visit the Priests House Museum to look at their collection of old toys. We are even allowed to borrow some of the toys to bring back to school to explore! This summer term we shall be participating in many events to celebrate the Diamond Jubillee and London Olympic and Paralympic Games. What a busy and exciting time we have in Year 1!
Mrs Anstey is the class teacher and Mrs Vivian and Mrs Smith support the learning.
Our enrichment time is Thursday afternoon where we have sports with Dan and Chris and art and ICT activities.
