Geraldine, a Guide Dog puppy trainer, visited us this week with her puppy Clover. Geraldine told us all about how she trains Clover to get her ready to be a Guide Dog for a person who can’t see very well. She also explained that to raise money for Guide Dogs, there will be a Puppy Treasure Trail in Wimborne on Saturday 25th October. The event, organised by Guide Dogs, will see shoppers search for toy guide dog puppies hidden in shop windows. Clue sheets can be purchased for £1 at the Guide Dogs information stands in Wimborne Square and Crown Mead. All proceeds will go to Guide Dogs. The mayor of Wimborne will officially open the event at 9am. After completing the trail, participants can post their sheets into a special treasure chest at Wimborne Square, where there will be a tombola and raffle.
